How Can We Help You?
Here are some of the services that we offer to homeowners and small business owners
Air Shield Heating & Cooling provides a selection of HVAC services for your home or small business that includes diagnosis, repairs, and installations for air conditioners. If you have an emergency with a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, we are dedicated to ensuring your HVAC systems are restored to proper working order as soon as possible.
We service/repair, replace, and install all makes and models of heating systems, including HVAC and heating equipment, ductless systems, straight cool systems, pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, ductwork, and indoor air quality equipment.
Air conditioning and heating equipment is a valuable part of your home or small business. Maintaining your equipment is essential to reducing system failures. We have an Energy Savings Agreement that provides a complete precision tune-up and professional cleaning for heating and air conditioning systems.
Air Shield Heating & Cooling are experts at repairing, servicing, maintaining, and replacing ductwork in your home or small business. Ductwork helps channel airflow throughout your home or small business’ HVAC system. Ductwork might look like just simple piping, but there is a great deal of thought and calculation that goes into installing efficient ductwork. Each bend in the duct can reduce the efficiency of the air moving through it. If it is not installed correctly, a long run of ductwork can create airflow issues, which reduces your comfort and energy efficiency.
Indoor Air Quality
We specialize in indoor air quality such as air scrubbers, UV light technology, and duct system sanitizing to protect your family from pollen, pet dander, allergens, mold, mildew, and smoke. Air Shield Heating & Cooling can install a HEPPA-filter air scrubber by Aerus, which is designed to help reduce indoor air quality risks. It can remove mold spores from the air in your home or small business, along with other bacteria, germs, viruses, fungal spores, and other small particles as small as 0.3 microns.
We continuously monitor newer technologies to offer our customers the latest innovations in the industry. We currently offer these services bundled for Florida homeowners.
- Surge Protectors – We install surge protection on your air conditioning equipment to protect your investment.
- Dehumidistat – This is a device that controls the humidity levels in your home by communicating with the thermostat to change the temperature. It is perfect for Florida snowbirds that leave their Florida home for long periods.
- Rust Corrosion Protection – We use sacrificial anodes to protect your system’s metal from corrosion and rust. These anodes oxidize the faster than the metal it is protecting, being entirely consumed before the other metal reacts with the electrolytes.
Do you need diagnostics testing to have a trained technician to evaluate your heating and cooling system, ductwork, and indoor air quality unit? These diagnostic tests locate high static pressure, restrictive air filters, inefficiently designed duct fittings, and improperly sized returns. Give us a call at 813-644-3806 or contact us through our contact form to set up diagnostic testing to figure out what your system’s problem is and to repair it quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I check my air filter?
We recommend checking your air filter at least monthly. It will depend on what type of system you have, if you have pets, if anyone in your home has allergies, what type of filter your system is using, etc. Some air filters are disposable; others are higher efficiency, so you may be able to go longer in between checking your air filters. In higher use seasons, check it more often to keep your system running at top efficiently.
Do I have different air filter locations?
It depends on your system as to where the air filter is located. Different systems have different filter locations around your home. Look for the return air ducts in your home. There is usually one near the furnace or indoor unit. It can be in a basement, crawl-space, garage, attic, utility closet or even a hallway inside your home.
Should I have my equipment serviced?
Yes, your equipment should be serviced to work correctly. Heating and Air Conditioning equipment should be cleaned, inspected, and serviced at minimum once a year. We highly recommend to have the heating system checked in the Fall, and the air conditioning system checked in the Spring.
